30th TUG-OF-WAR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

On behalf of the South African Tug-of-War Federation, it is our great honor and pleasure to invite the global Tug-of-War community to participate in the 30^th Tug-of-War World Championships, to be hosted in Mossel Bay, South Africa, from Monday 14^th September 2026 until Saturday 19^th September 2026.

The prestigious World Championships will bring together elite teams from across the world to compete at the highest level, celebrating strength, discipline, teamwork and the unifying spirit the defines our sport. Hosting the World Championships on African soil represents a significant milestone and highlights the continues global growth of Tug-of-War.

Mossel Bay, situated along South Africa’s renowned Garden Route offers an exceptional setting where world-class competition meets natural beauty. Participants and visitors can expect warm hospitality, rich cultural experiences and a welcoming environment for athletes, officials and supporters alike.

The South African Tug-of-War Federation, together with its Local Organizing Committee and partners is committed to delivering a professionally organized championship. High-quality venues, efficient logistics and athlete-focused services will ensure a smooth and memorable experience for all participants.
